Terms.

These are the terms for using PastSunday while it is in early access. Plain language, because you should be able to read the agreement you are agreeing to. We are a tool in the shepherd's hand, and these terms are written to keep it that way.

The short version

You upload Sunday's sermon. We hand it back to you in shapes that fit the week, and you decide what runs and when. What you preached stays yours, the drafts we make from it stay yours, and nothing goes out to anyone until you approve it. The rest of this page is the careful version of that.

Using PastSunday

PastSunday is for a church and the people on its team. You sign in with a magic link sent to your email, so keeping that inbox secure is how you keep your account secure. You are responsible for what happens under your account and for the people you invite onto your church's team.

What you upload stays yours

Your sermons, your transcripts, and the drafts PastSunday writes from them belong to your church. By uploading a sermon you give us permission to store it and work with it only to do the job you are asking for: transcribe it, draft from it, render clips and tiles, and publish to the accounts you connect, on your instruction. We do not claim ownership of any of it, we do not sell it, and we do not train shared models on it.

What we ask of you

Only upload recordings you have the right to use. Do not use PastSunday to break the law, to post somewhere you are not permitted to, or to put out something you do not have permission to share. Do not try to break, overload, or abuse the service, or use it to harm the people you or anyone else is sent to serve.

Connecting other platforms

When you connect a social or video account, you are authorizing PastSunday to post to it on your instruction, and only what you choose to send. Each platform has its own terms, and using it through PastSunday does not change them. You can disconnect an account at any time from your settings.

Early access, and what it costs

PastSunday is in early access. Today it is free for waitlist churches. Paid plans are coming, and they are being built so a single-pastor church can afford them. We will tell you clearly before anything costs money, and we will never charge an account without its consent.

Provided as it is

Early access means the product will change, and sometimes it will be down or get something wrong. We work to keep it reliable and your work safe, but we cannot promise it will be perfect or always available. Read every draft before you publish it. Nothing leaves PastSunday without your approval, and that approval is yours to give.

Where our responsibility ends

To the extent the law allows, PastSunday is provided without warranties, and we are not liable for indirect or unforeseeable losses that come from using it. Our responsibility to you is limited to what the law requires and to the service we actually provide.

Ending things

You can stop using PastSunday whenever you like, and you can email us to delete your account and the work tied to it. We may suspend or close an account that abuses the service, breaks these terms, or puts other people at risk. If we ever wind the service down, we will give you notice and a way to take your work with you.

Changes to these terms

As the product grows, these terms will too. When something material changes we will note it at the top of this page and email anyone with an account.

Questions about any of this? Email hello@pastsunday.com and a person will write back.
